Initial Visit
We are pleased that you and your family are considering our practice for your orthodontic evaluation, and we're looking forward to including you among our "family" of friends. It is our goal to make orthodontic treatment as pleasant and rewarding as possible for you.
During your initial consultation and examination visit, you'll be given an introductory tour of our office, view an informative video, and have an opportunity to speak personally with Dr. Durbin, Dr. Huang, or Dr. Garner.
Our friendly staff of dedicated professionals is trained to assist you during your visit in answering any questions you may have regarding orthodontic treatment times and fees. Our practice requires no down payment and we offer many different flexible monthly payment options customized to meet your individual needs. Our office accepts most orthodontic insurance plans and will assist you in filing benefit claims.
If orthodontic treatment is indicated, a decision may be made to take diagnostic x-rays, photos, and models at the same appointment or at a later appointment time. The entire initial visit should take no longer than 45 minutes to 1 hour. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Our Commitment to Sterilization
At The Kentucky Center for Orthodontics, our first responsibility is to our patients. That's why our practice adheres to and exceeds even the most rigorous and stringent demands for infection control and sterilization.
Our staff is thoroughly trained in the most current American Dental Association/Centers for Disease Control guidelines regarding the consistent use of universal precautions such as barrier methods (appropriate use of gloves, masks, and protective eyewear), sterilizing instruments, and disinfecting environmental surfaces.
We want to assure you that we are taking all of the precautions necessary to make sure that when you visit our office, there is no chance of transferring any germs or illness from any source. We accomplish this mission by using a combination of disposable items and reusable items that are always sterilized before they are used for any patient.
The effectiveness of all sterilization methods has been scientifically proven to kill all germs including the Hepatitis and AIDS viruses and is periodically verified by the use of biologic indicators.
The Kentucky Center for Orthodontics is committed to quality orthodontic care and total patient satisfaction. We've worked hard to gain your trust and we'll work even harder to maintain your confidence. If you have any additional questions or concerns about our sterilization practices, please let us know and we'll be glad to discuss them with you in further detail.
